  • Self Sabotaging Behaviours

Self sabotage(self destruction) is a product of unfamiliarity, no matter how good the unknown is we will feel a sense of unease until it becomes familiar. That’s why it is hard to start something new!

We have a system of resistance for the unknown.

We are programmed to seek what we’ve known.

Even though we think we are after happiness but actually we are chasing whatever we are most used to.

The first step in healing anything is taking full accountability.

Sometimes we develop a fear within ourselves of things that we know are not going to happen, these are irrational fears whose chances are least to become the reality.

Deep within we know they are not going to happen, these fears are safe to dwell on.

So in that case instead of wasting our energy in pondering about these worst case scenarios, we have to consider the message of that fear in our life.

For instance if we fear about losing a job or getting low grades , the fear might really be the idea that you aren’t worthy of another job or you don’t have the guts to learn from your mistakes and make improvements in life. It could be our fear of failing which is not letting us take risks and in turn we lose lots of opportunities because of that fear.

If we can identify what we want to protect,we can find healthier and more secure ways to do it.

There is a secret message behind every fear.”

  • A letter to “Mind”

Sometimes you work in inverse relation to my efforts to be calm,

And in that process of opposing my efforts,

You are harming and degrading your own cells,

Why can’t you understand that I prefer peace rather than chaos ,

Inspite of trying so hard, you aren’t letting that one moment of pain vanish from my memory,

Don’t let your ego of ‘winning the argument‘ destroy your own self this time,

Dear Brain please be merciful for your own sake.

  • Not a lazy Soul

    Stones all around the path,

    Breakers to dim your spark,

    Dillema leads to the doubting mark;

Yet, you fight as you are not a lazy soul,

Who becomes immortal like a resting bowl!

    Not a lazy Soul

    Connecting to Allah through Dua

    (Part 1)

The story of Musa ( alaihi al Salam) is mentioned in many places in the Quran. In this particular place, Allah is telling us about the part of his life before he speaks with Allah on the mountain of tur.

He Escaped Egypt and made it to Madyan. He  escaped  because he was wanted for murder even though it was a mistake, he had punched someone and they had died by accident. In the middle of the desert he found some water some lake and ponds so finally he rest there sitting getting some relief drinking some water Allah (azza wa jall)  tells us that :

There were two young ladies that had some animals but they are not letting their animals drink the water, while all the rest of the village is feeding their animals water;  but these women with their sheep they are just tugging away at them obviously the sheep sees the water so they want to go to drink but they are not going there staying in place.

Musa ( alaihi al Salam) asked them:

So Musa ( alaihi al Salam) doesn’t continue talking to them he actually just grabs the sheep goes to the well, and moves those guys like they were a bunch of insect because he is a very strong man .He fed the animal and brought them back.
